Cycle BC is having their second annual Season Opener BBQ on May Long Weekend. We would love for you to come join us this weekend whether you are renting or not. Bicycle down or come rent one of our 80 scooters and enjoy some food!
All food and drinks will be by donation with proceeds going to our favorite charity "Ride For Dad". These funds will benefit prostate cancer research and public awareness in each of the local ride communities right across Canada.
We look forward to seeing you!
The mission of the Ride For Dad is to raise funds to save men’s lives by supporting prostate cancer research and raising public awareness of the disease.
The Motorcycle Ride for Dad began in Ottawa in 2000 as a single city event to raise money for prostate cancer research and awareness. Two volunteers and 80 riders were involved in that first event raising almost $20,000 for prostate cancer research.
Since then, the Ride has expanded to 30 cities across Canada with events in every province and territory and has donated more than $9 million to its cause. Three hundred dedicated volunteers now serve on Executive Committees along with several thousand short-term volunteers making the Motorcycle Ride For Dad Canada's largest annual motorcycle event!
You can donate now at : http://www.motorcycleridefordad.org/ for the 2012 ride.
