This is a great route along our scenic coastline to the University of Victoria (watch for the infamous bunnies!) and the beautiful vista on Mount Tolmie which overlooks the city. Starting from Cycle BC, ride next to the ocean, past Beacon Hill Park and Clover Point. Grab a view of the Strait from King George Terrace, then cruise through the golf course, Oak Bay Marina (stop to say hello to the seals!), take a stroll on nearby Willows Beach and Uplands Park. Further north, visit the quaint village of Cadboro Bay before turning NW and entering the University.
Be sure to take the short detour uphill to Mount Tolmie if you have the stamina! Come back downtown taking advantage of bike lanes along Henderson, Foul Bay and Oak Bay Avenue. Stop by the Government House, Craigdorroch Castle and Christ Church Cathedral on your way back to Cycle BC!
Route time is based on a casual, sightseeing pace. A faster pace could cut the time in half.
