UBC Seawall Bike Ride
If you are looking for something a bit less crowded than the Seawall around Stanley Park then this ride is for you! Starting at Olympic Village, you’ll head west along the seawall towards Granville Island, a bustling hub of local artisans, food vendors, and outdoor markets. From there, the seawall takes you past Kitsilano Beach and Jericho Beach, two popular spots for swimming, sunbathing, and beach volleyball.
Continuing along the seawall, you’ll pass through the prestigious Point Grey neighborhood and the University of British Columbia campus, where you’ll find numerous scenic viewpoints and natural attractions like the Nitobe Memorial Garden and the Museum of Anthropology.
The ride from Olympic Village to UBC covers approximately 28 kilometers, and it’s mostly flat and easy to navigate. There are plenty of opportunities to stop and take in the views, as well as restrooms, water fountains, and spots to eat along the way.
