How to Rent a Bike in Vancouver

1 Reserve Online
While we do accept drop in rentals its best to book online so we can prepare your bike for your ride.

2 Paperwork
Fill out a waiver and provide a copy of a credit card.

3 Bike Setup
Once the paperwork is complete we are happy to make adjustments to the bike to ensure a proper fit. SPD Clipless pedals are available for rent or if you would like to bring your own we can mount them for you.

4 Choose a Route
Our staff are happy to recommend our favourite routes or give some feedback on yours.

5 Helmets and Locks Provided
Safety first! Helmets are the law in BC and even though Vancouver is a paradise, bike theft can happen.

19 Years or Older
Renters under the age of 19 must have a photo ID and a legal parent or guardian present at the time of rental to sign a witnessed liability release.

Photo ID
A piece of government issued photo identification.

Credit Card
Any valid major credit card, in your name, with the value of the security deposit per bike available.

Can I make a reservation for a bicycle rental?
All of our bicycle rentals are on a first come first serve basis. Please contact Cycle BC in advance if you are planning a group event, birthday parties or a corporate event, so that we can decide how to best serve you.

How old do I need to be to rent?
In order to rent you need to be at least 19 years of age. If you are between the ages of 16-18 you can still rent but we require that you have a legal parent or guardian present at the time of rental.

Can I store my luggage at your shop while I’m on rental?
Yes, we offer secure storage for anything you would like to leave behind, free of charge. As well, you can ship luggage to our office in advance of your rental to save money on your flight. Please contact us if you would like to take advantage of this service
