The Yamaha Tenere 700 is a lightweight, no-compromise dual sport motorcycle with one of the highest specifications in its class. Equipped with Yamaha’s popular 689 cc CP2 inline-twin engine, a completely new chassis and adventure-focused features, the Tenere 700 is designed to deliver class-leading handling and agility in the dirt and high-speed, long-distance performance on the road – making it an extremely capable and versatile adventure bike.

  • Same day rental, pick up at or after 9am and return one hour before closing the same day.

  • Additional mileage will be valued at 20c per km for the first 2000km. Mileage in excess of the first 2000km will be valued at 40c per km

  • 5% Government Sales Tax (GST)
  • 7% Provincial Sales Tax (PST)
  • $1.50/24hr Personal Vehicle Rental Tax (PVRT) to a maximum of 28 days

Dual-Sport bikes are permitted for use on non-paved roads with no additional fee's or rental minimums.
  • The Renter must have at least three years of riding experience riding a comparable motorcycle on non-paved roads
  • Off-Road rentals travelling North of the Arctic Circle (Dempster and Dalton Highways) are subject to a higher $250 accelerated wear and cleaning surcharge

Requirements

Getting on a motorcycle and riding off for days at a time has a minimum set of requirements. Please review our quick checklist and refer to our Rental Policies for a detailed list of rental requirements.

Rental Policies

  • Age

    21 years of age or older.

  • License

    A valid driver's license in either English or French with motorcycle endorsement (must be present at the time of pick up). An international driver's permit may be required depending on your country of origin.

  • Experience

    More than one year of riding experience on a similar sized bike to which you would like to take out.

  • Security Deposit

    A security deposit of $2500.00 for the duration of the rental by means of credit card authorization only. You can lower the deposit amount by selecting the optional CDW (Collision Damage Waiver)

  • Can I drive a rental motorcycle off road?

    Select motorcycles can travel on non-paved roads under certain circumstances. We place these restrictions to keep our equipment in the best possible condition. If you are planning a trip to Alaska or a destination that may require off-road travel, please get in touch with Cycle BC before your rental. For more information, please visit our policies page.

  • Can I store my luggage at your shop while I’m on rental?

    Yes, we offer secure storage for anything you would like to leave behind, free of charge. You can also ship luggage to our office before your rental to save money on your flight. Please get in touch with us if you would like to take advantage of this service

  • Can I take a rented motorcycle into the USA?

    Yes, provided with all of our bikes are copies of the registration and insurance, so you can travel freely between the US and Canadian border, however, travel to Mexico is restricted.
